New Education Notice for Oregon Posted


The Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services (OR-DCBS) has informed NMLS that in accordance with recently enacted Oregon rules, individuals seeking to obtain a MLO license with the OR-DCBS will be required to complete four (4) hours of Oregon state-specific PE as of January 1, 2015. The total number of PE hours required in Oregon has not increased, but the course content requirements have changed to effectively replace four (4) hours of what was a required general elective with a state-specific elective. Additionally, MLOs seeking to maintain an MLO license will be required to complete two (2) hours of Oregon state-specific CE as a condition for licensure renewal beginning January 1, 2015. The total number of CE hours of required in Oregon has not increased, but the course content requirements have changed to effectively replace two (2) hours what was a required general elective with a state-specific elective.

NMLS has posted an Education Notice for OR-DCBS explaining in detail the new education requirement. Course providers intending to offer courses to meet the new requirement need to pay close attention to the details contained in the notice. New Education Notice for New Hampshire Posted


The New Hampshire Banking Department (NHBD) has informed NMLS that in accordance with recently enacted legislation, individuals seeking to obtain a MLO license with the NHBD will be required to complete two (2) hours of New Hampshire state-specific PE as of January 1, 2015.

NMLS has posted an Education Notice for NHBD explaining in detail the new education requirement. Course providers intending to offer courses to meet the new requirement need to pay close attention to the details contained in the notice.
