Course Renewal Application Process Unavailable 4pm ET May 31


The course renewal application process will disabled in the PULSE portal at 4pm ET on Friday, May 31st.  Providers with courses scheduled for renewal in June can begin submitting their application(s) in the new EMS on Monday, June 3rd. The application deadline for June course renewals is June 30th. NMLS strongly encourages providers to carefully review the Course Renewal Instructional Guide to become familiar with how to use the EMS.

Submit Course Approval Application Process Now Available in New EMS


We are happy to announce that the course approval application process is now available in the new EMS. If you have not logged into the EMS already, please use the temporary username and password that has been provided to you to login. You can find your temporary username and password in Basecamp.

CFPB Videos on 2013 Final Mortgage Rules Available on YouTube


In an effort to assist industry and small business learn about the new final mortgage rules, the CFPB has released an overview and supporting videos on YouTube.   The videos cover the Ability-to-Repay and Qualified Mortgage rule; 2013 HOEPA rule; ECOA Valuations and TILA Higher-Priced Mortgage Loans Appraisal rules; Loan Originator Compensation rule; Mortgage Servicing rules; and the TILA Escrow rule.  The videos may access via the CFPB’s web site or via YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxsKnoFzSYI

Invitation to Instructional Webinar: Course Renewal Application


NMLS will host a conference call and webinar with approved course providers to demonstrate how to submit a course renewal application for approval. This “How to Session” will be held on Wednesday May 29th at 11:00am -12:00pm ET & will be repeated on Thursday May 30th at 2:00pm – 3:00pm ET. Organizations wishing to participate are requested to respond to Jessica Ayton (JAyton@csbs.org) with the date you will attend no later than May 28th. Call-in details and a link for the webinar will be sent on May 28th to those who have signed up to attend. Course Approval Submission Process Unavailable May 15-21


The course approval application process will be unavailable May 15 through May 21.  NMLS will resume accepting applications for course approvals in the new EMS on May 22.  NMLS strongly encourages providers to review the updated NMLS Course Application Process User Guide to become familiar with changes to the online process as a result of the new EMS.

Account Profiles and Logging into New EMS


One of the features of the new EMS is the ability to create a company profile.   All current approved course providers have a company profiles that has been migrated over from the PULSE system.  These profiles are tied to existing course records and new user IDs and passwords that are being issued.   Course providers should not create new profiles in the new EMS.  Providers can update existing account information after they log in.

Course providers renewing in May were issued their new user IDs and passwords last week.   Other providers will be issued their login credentials next week.   Any questions about account profiles should be directed to rmadison@csbs.org.   Course providers are also strongly advised to download and read the new user guides which have been posted in the NMLS recourse center.

New EMS Now Available for New and Renewing Course Providers


New and renewing provider application processes are now available in the new EMS. Course providers who are scheduled to renew their NMLS approval in May are invited to submit their application using the new EMS between now and May 30st.  Organizations seeking to become an NMLS approved course provider may also now submit an application online at http://www.nmlscourseproviders.org.  Revised instructions guides for all application processes are available on the course provider page of the NMLS Resource Center.
