February Auditing and Course Performance Results Released

At the NMLS Annual Conference and Training held last month in Arizona, NMLS agreed to share with the course provider community additional information about the number of course audits being performed, the major findings associated with those audits, as well as the roll-up dashboard which shows how courses are performing based upon student course completion surveys.   We also agreed to share information on complaints involving course providers and, as appropriate, inform on what actions have been taken to address complaints.   Accordingly, February course audit and performance information has been posted in the course provider section of the Resource Center under the section Important Links.  NMLS will continue to make this information available on a monthly basis going forward.

Redesigned Course Provider Resource Page Launched

Based on feedback we received from the provider community, NMLS has launched a redesigned page for course providers on the NMLS Resource Center.  The page has been redesigned to make it easier to find documents based upon function, and all of the document descriptions have been simplified.  Buttons have also been added to the top of the page to make it easier to get to the two major portals (Pulse and BaseCamp), the course catalog, and the Newsletter.   The revised content page can be found at: http://mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org/courseprovider/Pages/Resources.aspx

New Prometric Testing Center Security Procedure in Place

Effective today, March 1, all NMLS candidates who test at a Prometric center will be scanned with a metal detector wand prior to every entry into a test room. The scanning is intended to ensure that prohibited electronic devices are not brought into the test room. For complete details, please see Prometric’s Test Center Regulations at http://prometric.com/nmls/testingregulations or the Prometric Metal Detector Information sheet at http://prometric.com/nmls/metaldetector
