Clock is Ticking for February Course Renewals

This is just a reminder that course renewals for February are due Monday, February 28.  There are over 50 courses up for renewal this month.  While we recognize that highlighting and resubmitting courses is not the most exciting of tasks, submitting the course sooner-rather-than-later does help us to get the course re-approved much more quickly so you can keep teaching.

Also, for those courses that were not renewed in January, February 28 is the last day to perform any credit banking.  Effective March 1, providers will no longer have access to those course offerings.

NMLS User Conference Presentations and Follow-up

The annual NMLS User Conference was held last week in Orlando, FL.  Over 400 representatives from industry, state regulators, depository institutions, and law firms attended.  Representative from approximately 25 course providers also attended sessions to discuss the status of testing and education in accordance with the SAFE Act, course auditing, the renewal process, and the role the Mortgage Testing and Education Board (MTEB) plays in setting policy and investigating rules of conduct violations.  Many people have requested that we make the slides from the presentations available and we’re pleased to announce that we’ve been able to do that.  The complete conference agenda, attendee list, and all of the PowerPoint slide presentations are available online at:  http://www.nmlsconference.org/main/Pages/Schedule.aspx
